Project Mammut

Public Beta.

Note that Project Mammut is currently in Public Beta and not all features are live yet. Updates and tutorials are coming out every few days. Please join us in making a fantastic game engine.

The web version will be the first release for ease of development and testing, but it does come with a few limitations related to running in a browser.

There are plans for stand alone releases, and mobile apps down the line if there is enough demand for them.

Project Mammut is an editor for building visual novels and story-driven games. The core idea puts the writer is in charge of what happens in the game without too much friction. Narration is controlled with a node editor that interfaces with the rest of the editor.

Developers can make games very easily using provided templates, or turn out unique projects  by using the included scene and code editors.

FAQ.

"Will you also make an offline non web browser version"

Yes! I have in fact already have a prototype up and running for this in an aim to release of that in the future. But the main focus is getting the core program working and stable first before development shifts to other versions.

"I am stuck and I need help"

Documentation and support material is a never ending challenge for developers,  especially in this stage of development where things can change very quickly, and also because there is only one developer on the project. There is documents  available to download on this page, and there will be videos on the youtube channel. If you still need help, come join us on  the Discord server and let us know what you are having trouble with.

"I found a bug! what should I do?"

Great, let me know! The best place for this is on the project Discord,  and I will see what I can do.

"Can you add X Feature?"

I would love to hear what you want to use Project Mammut for,  and what tools you need to get your vision made.  Again the best place for this is on the Discord server. small features can be added pretty easily, and larger ones will be voted to be integrated down the line.
